What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a form of treatment that focuses on the musculoskeletal system (bones, muscles, joints, ligaments etc) and its contributing role in the healthy functioning of the body.

Osteopaths are skilled practitioners who train for five years, learning to assess the mechanics of the whole body, not just the bones, joints and muscles. We use some diagnostic procedures used in conventional medicine, but the main difference is the unique way the patient is assessed from his/her mechanical function which is essential to good health. Mechanical problems can lead not only to aches and pains in joints and muscle, but also to disturbances in the internal organs and the way they function.

Treatment is tailored to suit individual needs, in response to the practitioner’s  developed sense of touch, and the patients detailed medical history.
